JD.com – China’s second largest e-commerce firm – recently inked a deal with CTS International Logistics to offer warehousing and delivery services for cross-border online retailers.
Within the terms of the agreement, the two companies will leverage CTS’s transport resources, economies of scale and customs declaration services to offer cross-border deliveries by air, rail, sea and road.

JD – who recently hit a jaw-dropping 24.5 billion $ in single-day orders during China’s Mid-Year Shopping Festival – is well known worldwide for its work with unmanned delivery drones and other innovative practices.

In the latest deal, JD will provide technical services like warehouse planning and management and data administration, while CTS will use Jingbangda’s cloud warehouse service last-mile distribution networks, it added.
