Heusenstamm, March 8, 2018 – Dematic GmbH will continue its international customer day series at Arvato SCM Solutions in Hanover on April 19, 2018. The second event of the “European Customer Days 2018″ brings together international customers and representatives from the clothing industry as well as industry experts to exchange knowledge. The future of the clothing trade will be discussed together with a holistic view of existing and future requirements along the supply chain. The focus is on the joint development of innovative solutions from different perspectives. In addition to lectures, trends and future requirement profiles in the retail trade, current best-practice examples are presented and discussed in a confidential and creative working atmosphere. Participants can also have a close look at Arvato’s fulfillment solutions for international e-commerce at Arvato. The customer day series will then be continued in Italy, Spain and France.
After the successful kick-off event, we will once again bring the international apparel industry together and thus continue the intensive exchange of knowledge,” says Jessica Heinz, Head of Marketing at Dematic. By joining forces, the logistics automation company hopes to provide new impetus for the development of future intralogistics solutions. Different technical requirements pose great challenges for the clothing trade in the future. Last but not least, the strong response to the kick-off event shows us that there is a huge need for information on this complex topic,” says Heinz. Through conducted discourses from differentiated perspectives, the aim is to jointly develop innovative solutions that focus on the customer’s needs.
This time, Dematic partnered with Arvato, an e-commerce expert, to go on with this alignment. Lutz Meier, Manager of Operations at Arvato’s Hanover Fair site, explains why he supports the customer day series initiated by Dematic: “We consider it very important to exchange information on new developments in the market with fashion brands and partners. Only those who enter into dialogue can be successful.”
Arvato provides comprehensive fulfillment services in international e-commerce, including logistics, customer service, financial services and webshop development. Participants can take a closer look at the company’s service portfolio during an on-site visit. The focus is on the future requirements along the supply chain in the apparel trade. In addition to the overall informative program, the event also offers a platform for networking and intensive exchange with industry colleagues.
The “European Customer Days” will soon be continued internationally. Appointments in Italy, Spain and France will be announced at Arvato during the event.
