DM0138 by Interroll is the world’s most powerful synchronous drum motor for belt conveyor systems offering an output of 1.8 kilowatts. The innovative DM0138 synchronous drum motor extends Interroll’s proven range of high-performance synchronous motors upwards to open up new applications for customers and users, particularly in highly dynamic logistics centers and in the food industry.

A flexible platform

Thanks to the platform concept, the DM 0138 drum motor is ideal for all internal logistics applications, including industry, distribution and airports.

Like the existing DM 0080 and DM 0113 series, the new DM 0138 offers maximum acceleration and braking performance with very low energy consumption and the ability to precisely position conveyed goods on a system without the use of additional sensors, greatly simplifying the integration of packaging and other processing machines into an automated flow of goods, for example.

Practical, scalable and studied in detail, the new DM 0138 drum motor allows the development of a completely customized transport system and is sized for the admissible belt tension, in order to meet the growing needs of industry and belt manufacturers.

The clever Plug-and-Play connectionmakes installation a lot easier.

The modular structure of the DM 0138 allows the free combination of individual assemblies such as shaft, end flange, casing or steel gearbox, in order to fully meet the application requirements. In addition, various options are available such as encoder, brake, backstop, tires, etc. and various accessories.

The new synchronous motor with a diameter of 138 mm and an output of 1.8 kilowatts also impresses with its very compact design. Comparable outputs could previously only be achieved with conventional asynchronous motors with a diameter of 165 mm.

More and more companies around the world are appreciating the advantages of modern synchronous drum motors, which combine compactness with high functionality and economy. This is particularly true for users who have high requirements in automation or hygiene, such as in the food industry.
With this strategic expansion of our Drum Motor platform, we are once again helping system integrators and users to make even better use of their business opportunities.

The new DM 0138 synchronous motor is also available as an oil-free version as an option.

Like all drum motors from Interroll, the construction and design of the fully enclosed drive comply with the guidelines of the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG).

In addition, to meet even the most stringent requirements, only materials certified according to United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) specifications and European Union (EU) Regulation EC 1935/2004 are used.
